Well for all my sins I seem to have bought a BMW 318ti Compact today! Up to this point I really hadn't been paying any attention to the compact BMW at all. How wrong was that? ... er ... a lot! This is just a shorter 3 series, nothing has been taken away from the experience of having a BMW by buying a compact over a standard BMW. In fact I felt this drove better than the normal BMW. The handling seems spot on. Mind you anything would feel spot on in comparison to my old trusty 1.0L Volkswagen Polo this is replacing. The engine in this chuffs out a whopping 143bhp, for a car this size and weight that seems like a really high output and the performance was there. Big time ... so this wee thing will be mine in a few days time. Can't wait! I'll take some of my own photo's then!
