Well as it says at the botom of the Break In Review I ended up with a problem with my diffs on my second session out with the Savage.

So I've had to dismantle a good portion of the Savage in order to get the shock towers out from the main chassis. I found a document on the web that made the job look really easy ... on a Savage X ... ie: not mine ... haha!

Poor thing looks like Robocop after he's been beaten up and taken apart!
Anyway, the good folks at ModelSport UK basically told me to remove the diffs and post them back to them for fixing. Despite your expectations for a retailer to offer such a thing that can be a real hit or miss thing with a product like this through its very nature. I'm currently debating if I should spend some more cash on getting them to shim them and even possibly replace the outer diff casing with the aluminium upgraded Savage X parts ... I think its worth doing myself. The parts are here and here.
I'll be uploading some better shots of putting it back together for those in a similar situation.

Well I had an amazing surprise this morning! ModelSportUK had completed the work on my diffs and they were back in my grubby paws already! that's a two day turnaround on servicing and fixing them ... outstanding. Not only a quick turnaround but they also swapped out the old plastic casing and had switched them to the far better Savage X aluminium casings ... for free!!

So I busied myself this evening with getting them all greased up and installed ready for a spot of breaking in and bashing at the weekend ... nice!

Finally getting there!
