It’s taken me far longer than it should have to adopt a VPN as a permanent feature of my network. I went with NordVPN for anyone interested.
What’s really interesting is the sites that now won’t log me in.
I can use PayPal but not a take-away ordering site or a game purchasing site. Yes. An online take-away ordering service blocks VPNs but PayPal (one of it’s payment gateways) doesn’t. I’m not sure what to think of that. I find it a struggle to suggest a take-away ordering service takes security more seriously than PayPal …
At this point imho, blocking VPNs is itself a security issue.
